Devolution Programme research
presented at the European Consortium for Political Research

The ECPR Joint Sessions in Edinburgh, 28 March - 2 April 2003, feature two workshops drawing on research from the ESRC Devolution Programme.

Nicola McEwen and Luis Moreno are hosting a workshop on 'The Welfare State and Territorial Politics' which includes papers on social and welfare policies by Programme members Richard Parry and Alistair Cole and a number of other papers dealing with developments in welfare policy at the regional level in the UK and European states.

Fiona Mackay has built a workshop around the theme of her project [link] on Gender and Constitutional Change in the Programme. Entitled 'Changing Constitutions, Builidng Institutions and (Re)Defining Gender Relations', the workshop comprises 20 papers on gender and constitutional issues in a series of western democracies.
